It Swings!

Here is the story of some broken smurf that joined us last summer.

The little blue unfortunated had probably ever been bitten by a child or animal in his hand and looked like this

He came without swing and that's what he missed to live a happy life.

Here is how I created a swing for him and took care of his hand...

I found something that had become unusable for coocking, how do you call it in English (?)

Anyway, just look at the picture

Cut a piece of those red parts and frilled them

The "seat" is a piece of leather from old shoes that I was going to throw away.

Cut the part I needed, then glued it around the red wire, clothespins helped to maintain everything in right position until the glue was dry.

Of course I needed a frame to carry the swing.

Long matches for barbecue seemed perfect.

They are easy to cut on right lenght.

Finding the right shapes and applying silicones on the right places, then let it dry a few days...

The wooden frame stands on metallic plates and are also fixed with silicones

The longest part is finding the right angles, lenght of the frame + fixing it carefully with silicones + wait untill the silicones are hard enough.

Once the frame was stable I covered the whole thing with silicones and...waited untill this dried too :P

Then I could start to paint the whole swing experiment.

The wounded hand of little blue one was also fixed with silicones and got some paintbrush.

Now we have a happy blue swinger in our home
